History is the academic field of recording and understanding the past events and experiences of humans or certain social groups. The term history includes two meanings.

The first meaning is the record of events and the past.

History is a record of events occurring in a specific time period, which is passed through documents, relics, and remains. These records are analyzed and interpreted by historians and are used to understand and reconstruct past events.

The second meaning is the evolution and change of mankind.

History plays an important role in understanding the evolution and development process of mankind. Changes in human culture, politics, economy, technology, and social structure can be grasped through historical processes.

History deals with the past, but it is not immutable in itself, but its understanding gradually develops with new research and discoveries.

History can be interpreted subjectively and can vary depending on the time, culture, and perspective. Therefore, history is an important academic field that provides deep insight into human experience and society.

History is said to be a flowing river, but there is a dam that blocks the flowing river, so sometimes the river rotts.

However, it is also history that dams must be dealt with in harmony, knowing that they also have positive functions of water supply and flood control for people to live.

역사는 인류 또는 특정 사회 집단의 과거 사건과 경험을 기록하고 이해하는 학문적 분야이다. 역사라는 용어는 두 가지 의미를 포함한다.

첫번째 의미는 사건과 과거의 기록이다.

역사는 특정 시간대에 발생한 사건들의 기록이며, 이 기록은 문서, 유물, 유적 등을 통해 전달된다. 이러한 기록은 역사학자들에 의해 분석되고 해석되어서 과거의 사건들을 이해하고 재구성하는 데 사용된다.

두번째 의미는 인류의 진화와 변화이다.

역사는 인류의 진화와 발전 과정을 이해하는 데 중요한 역할을 한다. 인류의 문화, 정치, 경제, 기술, 사회 구조 등의 변화는 역사적 과정을 통해 파악할 수 있다.

역사는 과거를 다루지만, 그 자체가 불변적인 것이 아니라 새로운 연구와 발견에 따라 이해가 점차 발전한다. 

역사학은 주관적인 해석이 가능하며, 시대, 문화, 관점에 따라 해석이 달라질 수 있다. 따라서 역사는 인간의 경험과 사회에 대한 깊은 통찰을 제공하는 중요한 학문 분야이다.

역사는 흐르는 강물이라고 하지만, 흐르는 강물을 막는 댐이 있어 때론 강물이 썩어가기도 한다. 

하지만 댐 또한 사람이 살기 위한 물공급과 홍수조절의 순기능이 있다는 사실을 알고 조화롭게 대처해나가야하는 것 또한 역사이다.
