However, now that he was fired, Yoon Suk Yeol is now a natural person. Immunity or evasion is also impossible. Professor Cha stressed the need to thoroughly investigate cases that had been hidden by political power, including the alleged owner of the accusation, the case of Choi Sang-byung, and the possibility of an accomplice in the alleged civil war.

In particular, he suggested that "the cryptographic phone server of the Hannam-dong residence should be confiscated and searched." This is not just a conspiracy theory imagination. Justice is a process, not an outcome. After the unprecedented presidential dismissal, the state must take on a political agenda that fills the void. "The presidential election schedule must be announced, and new leadership must answer national challenges," Cha said. Policy issues already ahead of us, such as the ultra-low birth rate and tariff pressure from the U.S., cannot be delayed or avoided. But before that, the public wants to know first. What went wrong, who is in charge.

It is not just an attack on Yoon's individual. It is the process of confirming the basic premise of democracy that the principle of justice should be applied to anyone without exception. The investigation must answer this legitimate question.

정의는 결과가 아니라 과정이다. 대통령 파면이라는 초유의 사태 이후, 국가는 그 공백을 메우는 정치 일정을 밟아야 한다. 차 교수는 “대선 일정이 공고되어야 하며, 새로운 리더십이 국가적 과제에 답해야 한다”고 밝혔다. 초저출산 문제, 미국발 관세 압력 등 이미 우리 앞에 닥친 정책 현안들은 미루거나 회피할 수 없다. 그러나 그에 앞서 국민은 먼저 알고 싶다. 무엇이 잘못되었는가, 누가 책임자인가.

이는 단지 윤 전 대통령 개인에 대한 공격이 아니다. 정의의 원칙이 그 누구에게도 예외 없이 적용되어야 한다는 민주주의의 기본 전제를 확인하는 과정이다. 수사는 이 정당한 질문에 답을 주어야 한다.

법은 정치의 도구가 되어선 안 된다. 그러나 정치가 법을 침해했을 때, 법은 결코 침묵해선 안 된다. 지금 이 순간 필요한 것은 '보복 수사'가 아니다. 공정하고 철저한 수사다. 모든 국민은 진실 앞에 평등하게 설 권리가 있고, 공직자는 책임으로부터 자유로울 수 없다.

차성안 교수는 “윤석열 파면은 헌정 질서 복원의 신호탄이며, 대한민국이 다시 부활할 시점”이라고 말했다. 그 부활은 오직 철저한 진실 규명과 정의 실현을 통해서만 가능하다.

진실이 묻히는 순간, 헌정도, 민주도, 공정도 함께 무너진다. 정의는 지금, 수사라는 이름으로 깨어나야 한다.
