Daegu University Finds Global Startup Insights! Support Start-up Team Growth Through Malaysian Training

(Korea = KTN) Reporter Kim Do-hyung = Daegu University Start-up Support Group will cooperate with IPS Ventures, a startup investment company, to conduct overseas training as the final stage of the 'Start-up-oriented University Global Startup Infrastructure Benchmarking Program' for university students in Daegu and Gyeongbuk.

The program is designed to provide prospective start-up teams with opportunities to advance into the global market, and consists of enhancing their understanding of the overseas start-up ecosystem and analyzing the latest trends in the global market. Since September last year, nine student start-up teams have been selected to support start-ups and provide mentoring training, and in this overseas training, 13 students who were finally selected will experience the global start-up environment in Malaysia for four days from February 18 to 21.

The main schedule will consist of a visit to the Multimedia University (MMU), a university specializing in information and communication in Malaysia, a tour of the Malaysian Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), and networking with local Korean companies and start-up experts. In addition, Daegu University's start-up support group will sign an MOU for the internship program with Ian Intangible Property Sdn. Bhd., a local Malaysian company, to provide participating students with an opportunity to gain global hands-on experience.

An official from Daegu University's start-up support group said, "We will expand overseas training programs to provide a systematic growth environment for college students who want to start a business in Daegu and Gyeongbuk to enter the global market and actively support promising start-up teams in the region."

This program is sponsored by the Startup Promotion Agency, a public institution dedicated to startups under the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.

대구대, 글로벌 창업 인사이트를 찾다! 말레이시아 연수 통해 창업팀 성장 지원

(한국= KTN) 김도형 기자= 대구대학교 창업지원단은 스타트업 투자 전문회사 ㈜IPS벤처스와 협력해, 대구·경북 지역 대학생들을 대상으로 진행된 ‘창업중심대학 글로벌 창업 인프라 벤치마킹 프로그램’의 최종 단계로 해외연수를 실시한다.

이 프로그램은 예비 창업팀들이 글로벌 진출의 기회를 마련할 수 있도록 설계되었으며, 해외 창업 생태계에 대한 이해도를 높이고, 글로벌 시장의 최신 트렌드를 분석하는 내용으로 구성됐다. 지난해 9월부터 9개 학생 창업팀을 선발해 창업 지원과 멘토링 교육을 진행했고, 이번 해외연수에서는 최종 선정된 13명의 학생들이 2월 18일부터 21일까지 4일간 말레이시아에서 글로벌 창업 환경을 직접 체험하게 된다.

주요 일정은 말레이시아의 정보통신 특화 대학교인 MMU(Multimedia University) 방문, 말레이시아 디지털 경제공사(MDEC) 탐방, 현지 한인 기업 및 창업 전문가와의 네트워킹 등으로 구성된다. 또한, 대구대학교 창업지원단은 이 기간 동안 말레이시아 현지 기업인 Ian Intellectual Property Sdn. Bhd.와 인턴십 프로그램을 위한 MOU를 체결하여, 참가 학생들에게 글로벌 실무 경험을 쌓을 수 있는 기회를 제공할 예정이다.

대구대학교 창업지원단 관계자는 “해외연수 프로그램을 확대해 대구·경북 지역에서 창업을 희망하는 대학생들이 글로벌 시장에 진출할 수 있는 체계적인 성장 환경을 제공하고, 지역 내 유망 창업팀들을 적극 지원할 것”이라고 밝혔다.

본 프로그램은 중소벤처기업부 산하 창업전담 공공기관인 창업진흥원에서 후원하고 있다.
